Brochure photographs are taken in clear weather. These were taken on a phone during the 2023 monsoon, when the fort disappears into cloud and the grounds are at their greenest.
In October 2020 this was open land on a slope above the lake. The house was designed to step with the ground rather than level it, so that both floors open to the view. The grounds now hold more than 100 fruit and flowering forest trees.
